OK, I shall not bore you and clutter up this
site with all that stuff about myself, but if you're really
interested in knowing more about myself and my other hobbies,
do visit my personal web page.
Now on to CPs - I've been growing them for
almost 7 years. Unlike most other CPers, I started off with a
Nepenthes ampullaria that promptly died in my meticulous care.
Next to arrive at this CP concentration camp was a
N.madagascariensis and a flytrap. Needless to say, both
perished soon after. The real turning point for me was when I
received a copy of "Insectivorous Plants and How To Grow
Them" by Adrian Slack. This excellent book,
unfortunately, has gone out of print. Still, if you've got a
few hundred dollars to spare, do get your hands on this gem of
a book. It was a real eye-opener, along with excellent
cultivation instructions. Now for my turn to help others out
in successfully growing these beautiful plants - I've put
together the following pages, which I hope will be of help.
General cultivation
Some noteworthy genera and species
Growing temperate CPs in the tropics
Growing CPs indoors
Collecting, storing and sowing seed
Tissue culture of carnivorous plants
